ASPIRA
The ASPIRA Program
Under the leadership of Mrs. Leira Rodriguez, teacher of English as a Second Language, the ASPIRA organization, including Ms. Belkis Vasquez as well as students represent the ASPIRA Organization in the Paterson Public School District. We take great pride in providing our participants a Youth Leadership Development Curriculum that embeds active and rigorous involvement in the school, community, and post-secondary institutions through academic advisory, community service, and college-affiliated activities. ASPIRA students are exposed to meaningful opportunities such as: college tours, charity and field trip related fundraisers, FAFSA and scholarship assistance, academic tutoring, a challenged-students mentorship program, career-related summer programs and community service. Overall, we believe these endeavors will lead our students to expand on their fullest potential by taking charge of their lives via taking the right path to achieve the American Dream, for we believe all of our students here at Eastside High School possess unique talents and intellectual abilities.
